GOD IS A SPIRIT AND HE TELLS US TO WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH

Stop worshipping man made idols which cannot hear, talk nor see. When you worship dead objects Satan takes the glory. Idol worship = demon worship. Whatever you think is getting blessed by worshipping an idol is the blessing of Satan not from God.

(Psalm 115:4-8)

Their idols are silver and gold,
The work of men’s hands.
They have mouths, but they do not speak;
Eyes they have, but they do not see;
They have ears, but they do not hear;
Noses they have, but they do not smell;
They have hands, but they do not handle;
Feet they have, but they do not walk;
Nor do they mutter through their throat.
Those who make them are like them;
So is everyone who trusts in them.

GOD IS A SPIRIT AND HE TELLS US TO WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH!

(2 Corinthians 6:16) And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”

GOD IS A PERSONAL GOD AND WE CAN HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM ONLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

ISRAEL ALONE WORSHIPPED THE ONE TRUE GOD IN THE OLD TESTAMENT GOD SEPARATED ISRAEL FROM AMONG THE NATIONS TO KEEP THEM FROM FOLLOWING IDOLATRY.  WHILE THOSE  NATIONS WORSHIPPED MANY GODS USING IDOLS;  ISRAEL WAS LEARNING TO WORSHIP THE ONE TRUE GOD, WITHOUT THE USE OF IDOLS.  GOD HAS NOT CHANGED! HE IS SEPARATING HIS PEOPLE TODAY FROM THOSE WHO WORSHIP MANY GODS USING IDOLS.

THE FIRST CHURCH WAS INFILTRATED WITH FALSE TEACHERS WHO WANTED TO BRING IN A DIFFERENT GOSPEL. (1 Thessalonians 1:9) For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

 SOME DID RETURN TO THE PRACTICE OF USING STATUES OF THE MANY GODS TRADITIONALLY LOOKED TO FOR HELP.  THESE FALSE GODS WERE GIVEN NEW NAMES AND ADDED TO THE GOSPEL MESSAGE.  YOU SEE THIS TODAY IN THE GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH AND THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH.

WHILE MANY SEE NO HARM IN REVERING MARY,  GOD WARNS OF A COMING PUNISHMENT FOR THOSE WHO DON'T TURN AWAY FROM SUCH TRADITIONS.

(Revelation 9:20) But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.

(Deuteronomy 32:17) They sacrificed to demons, not to God, To gods they did not know, To new gods, new arrivals That your fathers did not fear.

YOU MAY BELIEVE THAT YOUR STATUE OR PICTURE OF MARY, JESUS OR A SAINT IS OK BUT GOD HATES IT BECAUSE WE ARE REALLY OFFERING UP OUR PRAYERS OR REVERENCE TO DEMONS.

(1 Corinthians 10:20-22)

20 Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons. 22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

YOU DON'T NEED A STATUE OR PICTURE.  THE RIGHT WAY TO WORSHIP GOD IS TO SIMPLY PRAY TO GOD FROM YOUR HEART IN JESUS NAME.  IT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH.  SALVATION AND ETERNAL SEPARATION FROM GOD.

(John 4:22-24)

You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Unrighteousness people will not enter Kingdom of God

"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6 :9-11)

The Christian’s response to sin is to hate it, repent of it, and forsake it. We still struggle with sin, but by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us, we are able to resist and overcome sin. If a person actively, perpetually, and unrepentantly lives a sexual immoral lifestyle, the lifestyle of a thief, a greedy lifestyle, a drunken lifestyle, etc., it is not possible for such a person to be a Christian (follower of Christ), and such a person will definitely not enter the kingdom of God.

God the Holy spirit is third person of the Trinity

Many FALSE DOCTRINES moving around now are promoting that the HOLY SPIRIT is female
There is all kind of CONFUSION going around about the IDENTITY of the HOLY SPIRIT either as a form of energy--or an "it" or a "she" feminine personality or female aspect.  Well you HAVE TO GO TO SCRIPTURE FOR THE TRUTH...and in John we see that the HOLY SPIRIT is also called the COMFORTER and three times in this passage we see the HOLY SPIRIT clearly as a "HE" MALE Person.
John 16:7-8 (KJV): Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the COMFORTER will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send HIM unto you. 8 And when HE is come, HE will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Then in the following passage verse we see again the HOLY SPIRIT as a "HE" MALE Person and we also see very clearly in verse 15 the GODHEAD: FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT functioning as "Individuals" unique from each other....
John 16:13-15 (KJV): Howbeit when HE, the SPIRIT of Truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of HIMSELF; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.  14 HE shall glorify ME: for HE shall receive of MINE, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the FATHER hath are MINE: therefore said I, that HE shall take of MINE, and shall shew it unto you.
In this scripture John 14:26 once again, we see the HOLY SPIRIT as a MALE "HE" Person and the FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT functioning as Unique Individuals:
John 14:26 (KJV): 26 But the COMFORTER which is the HOLY GHOST, WHOM the FATHER will send in MY Name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
THREE MEN APPEARED TO ABRAHAM--NOT TWO MEN AND A WOMAN--THREE MEN--WHO WAS IDENTIFIED AS THE LORD IN THIS PASSAGE--the GODHEAD:
Genesis 18 (KJV)  And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, THREE MEN stood by him: and when he saw THEM, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3 And said, My LORD, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: 4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest YOURSELVES under the tree:

I also want to mention my own experience with hearing from GOD: when I first heard GOD's audible voice it was a "WE" plural voice--THREE IN ONE--it was a male voice--there was (and I have) never heard a female voice.

There is absolutely no reference in this Scripture that the HOLY SPIRIT is a "she" or female in any way.
PS: no debating--sorry--The case is closed.... ~ Susan Davis

Rapture of the church vs Second coming of Jesus christ

The "Rapture of the church" and the "Second coming of Christ" are often confused. Sometimes it is difficult to determine whether a scripture verse is referring to the rapture or the second coming. However, in studying end-times Bible prophecy, it is very important to differentiate between the two.

The rapture is when Jesus Christ returns to remove the church (all believers in Jesus christ) from the earth. The rapture is described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. Believers who have died will have their bodies resurrected and, along with believers who are still living, will meet the Lord in the air. This will all occur in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. The second coming is when Jesus returns to defeat the Antichrist, destroy evil, and establish His millennial kingdom. The second coming is described in Revelation 19:11-16.

The important differences between the rapture and second coming are as follows:

1) At the rapture, believers meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17). At the second coming, believers return with the Lord to the earth (Revelation 19:14).

2) The second coming occurs after the great and terrible 7 year tribulation (Revelation chapters 6–19). The rapture occurs before the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10).

3) The rapture is the removal of believers from the earth as an act of deliverance (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17,5:9). The second coming includes the removal of unbelievers as an act of judgment (Matthew 24:40-41).

4) The rapture will be secret and instant (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). The second coming will be visible to all (Revelation 1:7; Matthew 24:29-30).

5) The second coming of Christ will not occur until after certain other end-times events take place (2 Thessalonians 2:4; Matthew 24:15-30; Revelation chapters 6–18). The rapture is imminent; it could take place at any moment (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54).

Why is it important to keep the rapture and the second coming distinct?

1) If the rapture and the second coming are the same event, believers will have to go through the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10).

2) If the rapture and the second coming are the same event, the return of Christ is not imminent—there are many things which must occur before He can return (Matthew 24:4-30).

3) In describing the tribulation period, Revelation chapters 6–19 nowhere mentions the church. During the tribulation—also called “the time of trouble for Jacob” (Jeremiah 30:7)—God will again turn His primary attention to Israel (Romans 11:17-31).

The rapture and second coming are similar but separate events. Both involve Jesus returning. Both are end-times events. However, it is crucially important to recognize the differences. In summary, the rapture is the return of Christ in the clouds to remove all believers from the earth before the time of God’s wrath. The second coming is the return of Christ to the earth to bring the 7 year tribulation to an end and to defeat the Antichrist and his evil world empire.
